Show the working
- Paid so far = monthly payment × months + product, legal and valuation fees.
- You own = your deposit plus the share of the home bought so far, assuming the payment never changes. Where an illustration rate is recorded the share is worked out month by month; otherwise it is drawn through the recorded 2, 5 and 10-year figures.
- Ignores house price changes, payment reviews, stamp duty and early settlement charges.

Why MyHalalHome exists
Faith-conscious home finance should not be the harder route.
We saw a genuine gap. Conventional mortgage customers had established comparison platforms, while people seeking Sharia-compliant home finance often faced fragmented information, unfamiliar terminology and no clear place to start.
We believed there was a better way.

Frequently asked questions
Quick answers to the most common questions about MyHalalHome.
Is Islamic home finance more expensive than a mortgage?
Sometimes the monthly payment is higher and sometimes it is similar. Fees, the length of the term and how payments are reviewed can matter as much as the headline rate. That is why we show the total paid and the share you own over time, not one figure.
Is it really halal?
Each provider has its products approved by its own Sharia scholars or board, and qualified scholars can hold different views. We aim to show who reviewed each product and link to their documents so you can judge for yourself. MyHalalHome does not issue religious rulings.
Do you give financial advice?
No. MyHalalHome provides general information and illustrative comparisons. For a recommendation or an application you need an FCA-authorised adviser or provider.
Will registering interest affect my credit file?
No. We do not run credit checks, and we only ask for rough ranges, never income, account or credit details.
How does MyHalalHome make money?
Today it earns nothing. In future we expect referral fees from authorised partners. We will publish every type of fee before accepting any, and our intention is that fees never affect what you see or the order it appears in.
